Private investment and alternative finance specialist IW Capital has made a £2 million development capital investment in Impact Recycling Limited, providing the company with resources to scale its Newcastle operations and begin exploring licensing opportunities for its BOSS technology.
Use of proceeds
The investment is allocated across four areas:
- Equipment upgrades at the Newcastle processing facility to improve throughput and reliability
- Increased shift patterns to extend operational hours and maximise plant utilisation
- Additional staffing across production and technical functions
- Initial licensing activity to scope commercial routes for BOSS technology deployment beyond the Newcastle site
Strategic significance
The IW Capital investment represented a critical step in Impact Recycling’s transition from a single operational site to a scalable technology platform. With the Newcastle facility proven and operational, the funding allowed the team to demonstrate the commercial model — high-purity PE and PP PCR from mixed post-consumer feedstock — and begin structuring the licensing framework that underpins the company’s international growth strategy.
